About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Architect to lead the technical design of a mission-critical, high-resilience enterprise module.

In this role, you will own the architecture of a side-by-side extension built on SAP BTP, designed to guarantee 100% operational continuity, even during backend ERP downtime. You will work with modern cloud-native patterns and ensure industrial-grade reliability, scalability, and security.

This is a high-impact technical leadership position for someone who thrives in complex, enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a modular, Single Responsibility-based architecture on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry).

• Architect a side-by-side extension ensuring full system functionality during backend maintenance or outages.

• Implement resilience patterns, including queue-based write-back orchestration and high-availability data replication.

• Lead technical decisions around integrations, security, and scalability.

• Enforce strict engineering standards (Unit Testing >80%).

• Mentor senior developers and drive technical excellence across the team.

• Architect complex task-management loops and bulk data processing operations.

• Design and build custom workflow and rules engines when performance requirements demand bypassing standard services.

• Advanced Node.js development within CAP

• HANA Cloud (HDI containers, SQLScript)

• Resilience patterns & high-availability design

• SAP SDI for data replication

• SAP Cloud Connector

• OData v2 / v4

• Secure connectivity to On-Premise ERPs

Desirable Expertise

• Integration with SAP AI Core / GenAI Hub

• Vector engines and RAG architectures

• Dual-mode architectures (AI + manual fallback)

• Document management integrations (OpenText or similar DMS via API)

• Advanced security knowledge (XSUAA, IAS, secure coding practices)

Experience Required

• 8+ years of experience in Software Architecture

• 5+ years specifically focused on SAP BTP

• Proven track record delivering high-stakes, industrial-grade cloud applications

• Experience designing highly resilient and mission-critical systems

• English B2+ (C1+ ideally)
